They don't. Only conservatives believe that people want to be poor.
Its not, but that is what they teach kids today in public school. Rich people are the ones that run businesses that hire people and pay them for their productivity. Or they give money to charity to help those in need. And yes there are tax deductions that come along with charity but who cares because charities help people in real need. The government does not help people except for natural disasters. Yes they have EBT, SNAP, and Section eight housing to go along with SSI and the welfare program and that is no insignificant amount as it takes up more than 1/2 the government spending amounting to trillions of dollars which are transferred to the illegals and the hack population which virtually does nothing.
Well let's see< no one forces people to do business with the bankers ( I have a credit union), the poor are not about to save the world economy, no one forced them to take sub-prime mortgages for starters. The very few who are poor from a life altering medical event, or mental illness get a pass and deserve our help, for the rest, they make poor life choices, for the young, it is unfortunately not their fault, (but it's not MY fault either). Poor priortization, lack of delayed gratification, refusal to adapt and seek skills that society values and will pay for. well lets see bankers stole every penny from the poor, and destroyed the world economy they sold sub-prime mortgage loans they knew would fail they never go to jail for their crimes
