When My parents got it (we are both seniors in high school) I wasnt thrilled cause its not a beautiful amazing car, but I thought screw it, Ill have freedom and i was really grateful for my parents doing that, we dont have a lot of money. I do help pay for gas and insurance btw My self esteem is generally low, and for some reason my best friend is kinda rude about my car. like its **** compared to her mr2 car.. I love her but for some reason she makes fun of my car...? I dont want advice on how to stand up to her, more like how to not give a **** about what the car looks like, it gets me where I wanna go and thats what matters to me. thank you!!
In my country, the volvo v40 is a luxury car, so don't mind what he says, this is a great car .
Honestly, the mr2 has so many problems, ive had several friends have to replace their engines. On top of that, Volvo makes one of the most reliable cars.
She isn't really a good friend, first tell her to stop, if not ignore her. Your first car is just that, basic transportation, freedom to go where you wish. Save your money and your next car, or even the car after than can be an awesome nice car. self esteem comes from deep in side, you need to learn to have a thicker skin. You cannot live your whole life worrying about what others think, call her car a "ricer".
Don't be offended when she makes fun of your car, because your car doesn't define you. It's just a car.
