Should I be concerned about my visa application?

Hello, I am applying for a study permit in Canada. I am worried about how to answer the following question: "Have you ever remained beyond the validity of your status, attended school without authorization or worked without authorization in Canada?" This is the second time I go to Canada. The first time I was granted a visa until September 1st, and I had both a work and study permit issued until August 13th. Even tough I did not work or study in Canada past August 13th, I ended up leaving only two weeks later, on August 26th. I took too long to book my return ticket, and this was the best available date for my budget at the time. I did not mean to break any rule. However, my visa was valid at the time, but not my permit. Should I have left immediately after the permit had expired, or does Canada have another policy for that? I am really worried about what to answer for this question. I am afraid this could unnecessarily affect my visa application.
The correct answer to the question is "Yes" as you did overstay for an entire two weeks. If you give them a wrong answer, it's material misrepresentation and you not only will not get any visa to Canada; you'll also be barred for life. If you tell the truth, they'll not give you the visa either. Don't shoot the messenger.
