I just bought it brand new and the phone gets extremely hot on the top right corner. It literally hurts my hand after holding it for a while. I'm pretty sure you can cook an egg on the phone. I'm sure its the battery. I know that a lot of people have/had this problem, but I want to know if it is solvable. Do you think that maybe the battery has the adjust or something. Surprisingly right now the phone isn't hot and I am using it. Btw why does Nokia make such crappy phones? There's always a defect. I bought the 920 a few weeks ago and had to return it because it sounded as if there was something loose inside the phone which made it rattle. Does anyone else have this problem and can it be fixed? I might just return the phone but idk.
If the phone is under warranty, simply tell the retailer that the battery is defective and over heating. Hope they will give you a new battery, generally when phones overheat - it is a battery issue - meaning the battery is defective.
