A good friend of mine needs information on how dispute a licence suspension in Texas. Was popped for a DWLI and has served time on for said surcharges and account. However just received a paper in the mail stating she owes the state of Texas $105 when she cant possibly. What steps does she need to go through to dispute this with out the use of a lawyer?
You CAN'T successfully dispute the fine without a lawyer. Based on your description of the situation, I would be surprised if there is anything a lawyer could do at this point. The time to fight the penalty is at trail, not after serving your time.
