I have a million-dollar tech product idea. Whats my next step?

I have a million-dollar tech product idea. I have done my research and due diligence. I need the help of an engineering/design firm to help me make a prototype. I have no funding (want to do a kickstarter campaign once I have a prototype). I have no experience in developing anything, let alone a tech product. What should I be doing at this point? Patent the idea/design? Approach the firm and see if they'll partner with me? Obtain funding first? I'm only 23 and right out of college. I have nothing to lose at this point and have been told by the 15+ industry professionals that I've told about this that my idea is full proof and industry changing. I just need to make sure I start in the right direction. Any advice would help.
You probably need to get a lawyer.
I think you need to get real :) If your ideal was full proof and industry changing you would have 15 investors trying to make money
