Hello - Veins becoming more visible during activity is perfectly normal and common. Increased physical activity increases blood flow to the periphery (arms and legs) in order to meet the oxygen demands of the muscles, therefore engorging the veins and making them more visible. Your iron deficiency could enhance how how noticeably "blue" your veins appear. In iron-deficiency anemia, your blood's ability to carry oxygen is reduced. Oxygenated blood is primarily "bright red" while deoxygenated blood is "dark red", which can appear as blue. Therefore, the combination of your iron deficiency with increased physical activity can result in your veins appearing particularly "blue". You may wish to discuss your findings with your doctor during your next visit to determine whether iron supplementation is necessary (if you are not already taking iron). Good luck!
