CAN I STILL GET THE ELIGIBILITY FOR FINANCIAL AID?!?! HELP ME!!!?

Ok. I am 18 I had just started my bank account not quite a month ago. The reason why I even started is for myself. My parents usually hold my money &it just ridiculous. They get pissed off easily for how much I use when it's my money. That's why I created a bank account not just to only save but calculate my spending. Well anyways, this upcoming fall I'm applying to beauty school. My parents think I wouldn't be able to go because I have too much money in the bank. So now when I get my paychecks, they want it under their name. Just incase, they research that I have "too much" in my bank. I only put a certain amount.. Not pass $1000.. I believe they are trying anyway possible just to get my money. It's ridiculous! I've been working since I was 12 till now and every single penny is in there pocket.. Do you guy think I'll still be able to get the financial aid?!
legally speaking, the money you made from age 12 to age 18 was their money now that you are 18 it is not.. however, you need to keep in mind that they no longer have any obligation to house you, feed you or in any way provide for you yes, you should have your own bank account the effect of the savings and/or income of a dependent student is somewhat limited as to how it affects financial aid --- and it might not affect it all (depends on the income of your parents) if your parents earn enough that you would not qualify for need-based aid, then your income &savings are not likely to affect you at all student savings only affects fin aid to the extent of 20% &that is ONLY if you qualify for need-based aid (for example pell grants that are awarded for families living at/near the poverty level) to answer your question.. yes, you can still get financial aid... the effect, if any will be minimal
