Is this one keyboard defective?

OK, so I recently bought a keyboard on amazon, more specifically, the Corsair Vengeance K70. After looking at its 5 star reviews, I thought this would be a great keyboard. Keys light-up, soft clicking, etc. The keyboard had two USB plugs one for the keyboard itself, and one for the lights/extras. After joining a Skype call, they said they hear an static coming from my mic. After testing it, it is really loud! Looking at all the reviews, not one said they encountered the same problem as I! Now, the question is what is it that went wrong with the keyboard?
I had the same problem with a Razer product a long time ago. I had a Razer Tarantula keyboard that had a spot on the side for USB 2.0, mike and headphone. When I plugged in my headphones to the keyboard I got stupidly annoying buzzing sound in my ears. This is a thing that also happens on your desktop's audio ports, specifically the ports on the front. If you look in your case, those ports have a cable that go's from the front of the case to their place on the motherboard and this cable is not shielded. This means it picks up electronic interference ( called EMI ) from anything in your case and gets returned to you as sound.. The audio cables are picking that EMI from your keyboard and the only solution is to run the cables from you mike and headset to the back of the case. Not advertising or anything, but I'm using the Gigabyte Aivia Osmium keyboard with no such problems, you could return and get something else, but I know that k70 has a nice price tag on and my keyboard cost 129 USD.
Okay? What does that have to do with your keyboard? If its a static sound, its coming from your headphones or another device on the same frequency. How in the hell do you think its a keyboard.
